My name is Jaime Steading and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC and I graduated from Dorman High School. My grandparents used to take me to the football games every Friday night when I was young, so I've always been a Cavalier at heart. I attended USC Upstate, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and then Converse College, where I received my Masters of Education in Special Education with certification in Learning Disabilities and Educable Mentally Disabled. Over the last fifteen years, I have taught third grade, second grade, a K-2 EMD class and a Preschool Special Education class. This is my fourth year teaching one of the Autism Classes here at RES. My husband, Josh, and I have two boys, Zachary (11) and Matthew (9), who are students at Gable and at Roebuck. Both of my boys play soccer. I love being a part of this school as a parent and as a teacher. My favorite color is purple. I love Japanese food, spending time with my family, going to the movies, and reading. When I have time, I enjoy cross stitching as well. My favorite sports to watch are
football and soccer. Go Cavaliers and Go Tigers!
